Yoga shares the same root as the word "yoke" (as for oxen) and means "union." Most people are familiar with the physical postures called "asanas" but true yoga involves more than simply practicing the postures. Yoga can be a fulfilling spiritual path as the "union" can be with God and the universe. One does not have to go against one's existing religious beliefs to gain the benefits of Yoga. You are invited to attend my regular classes at Body of Santa Fe and at CSL- Center for Spiritual Living New: Santa Fe Yoga is now offering at CSL-Center for Spiritual Living, 505 Camino de los Marquez Vinyasa yoga classes starting on Wednesday 18th - All levels - Bring your MAT Monday 12-noon to 1pm & Wednesday 5 to 6pm Friendly Summer Rate: $5 Both when I teach yoga and meditation and when I practice on my own, I am so often fascinated by how new relationships are being formed: the relationship to the inner self, to the body, to nature, to all else in the vast world, and how much dialogue and spaciousness are occurring. I am having a blast! It seems to me that we are truly unlimited magnificent beings if only we allow our true nature to shine its greatness and our body temple to reveal its needs. Follow your inner blissful heart and experience joy in what you are doing in the present moment: This awareness as you grow and expand is the real success. This is how I choose to find daily balance. In my Santa Fe yoga classes, we pay attention to more than simply the postures or asanas. Yoga is a healing practice resulting in a union of mind, body and spirit. For this reason, we also practice meditation to cultivate our inner nature and awaken to our own natural wisdom and universal consciousness. Come and reduce stress, feel an increase in vitality, achieve mental balance and uplift the spirit through the study and practice of yoga. |
